About Maji-Tech

Maji-Tech is a for-profit corporation with charitable roots. The company was founded in 2002 by a group of Christian business people and the humanitarian relief and economic development organizations they serve.

The shareholders, Angel Mission and GOD TV, are passionate about connecting high-quality water drilling and distribution services with community development projects that improve the quality of life for people. Everything from employment and training of nationals, to financial accounting, to delivery of services is guided by a firm commitment to the values of honesty, integrity and excellence.

Our mission is focused: Maji-Tech identifies, develops, and manages water resources through innovative technology, environmental knowledge and contextual awareness. Our heavy-duty drilling equipment allows us to drill deep wells that provide a long-term source of safe water for hundreds or even thousands of people.

Our nonprofit NGO partners continually sponsor water-related projects to enhance our positive impact. Constructing schools, clinics, community centers and churches and donating high-tech medical equipment helps us leverage clean water into community transformation.

Maji-Tech has become the leader in water resource development in East Africa. We’ve accomplished this by consistently providing a high quality product along with the integrity that comes from biblical ethics.

We currently operate nine drilling teams in three countries in East Africa (Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda), with plans to expand into Ethiopia. Our projects are typically ground water in origin and we use renewable energy sources such as windmills, wind turbines and solar to pump water. In addition to this we are looking to convert all of our equipment to biofuels and are piloting a project in Tanzania with co-ops to grown Jatropha and convert it to biodiesel.
